A Family of Four, Skis, Boots and a Dog: Packing a Full Car
There is so much you can fit when you have an IXTAbox!
A regular car is designed for 4 people to be seated comfortably along with some luggage. But realistically, it is four people, a week of clothes, four sets of skis, boots, poles, helmets, and a dog who of course joins the family vacation. It fits on paper, but only on paper.

It fits rather less well at seven in the morning in a dark driveway with everyone already in the car.
This is when having an IXTAbox really helps. Having hundreds of litres of extra storage at waist height is something that makes packing for the trip a breeze!
Pack in three groups, not one
Things you will not touch until you arrive. Skis, boots, the bulk of the clothes, the boot bag. These want to be out of the cabin entirely.
Things you need on the way. Snacks, a jacket each, the charging cable, the thing the youngest will ask for forty minutes in. These stay reachable, which means the boot or the footwells.
Things that must not touch anything else. Wet gear coming home, and the dog.
The third group is the one that ruins car interiors, and it is the one nobody plans for on the way out.
Loading in winter is a different job
Everything you have to lift over your head to load a roof box becomes harder in snow-covered winters. Icy boots on a driveway, gloves on, in the dark, with a heavy bag above shoulder height is how backs get hurt and paintwork gets scratched. IXTAbox lets you load at waist height, standing where you already are, and that changes this part of the trip more than it sounds.

The way home
Pack for the return before you leave. Somewhere for wet boots, a bag for the dog's towel, and a plan that does not involve putting a soaking ski jacket on a seat. Put all such things in the IXTAbox and the car doesn’t get dirty or smelly and you have a fun time at the end of the vacation instead of the nightmare of packing everything back how it was at the beginning, which somehow never goes that way.
